Muscle building exercises 

Muscle strengthening can be achieved through physical activities of daily living or by doing exercises that work specific muscle groups, for example, the abdominals, muscles of the arms, legs and back. Strengthening muscles helps maintain your strength, maintain and ensure the precision of your movements. It also helps prevent falls and maintain greater autonomy as you age


It is a fun and fast program that will allow you to gain muscle tone without increasing the volume of your muscles . Exactly what is needed for a runner. The principle is simple, use your entire muscle chain by doing several different exercises one after the other with a short recovery of 10 to 15 seconds between each exercise and 2 minutes between each set.

The objective of Circuit Training is to work the whole body (top and bottom), to improve its strength, endurance and cardio. Depending on your level, you can increase the intensity of the exercises and the number of repetitions of the sets. We recommend for beginners to start with one set per day. Over the days, gradually increase the repetitions of the sets.

Circuit Training is a real complement to maintain your level of form and progress in running. It has several advantages:

  • The turnaround time is fast, a few minutes each day.
  • Easily adaptable according to your level.
  • Helps prevent injuries while running.
  • Very effective for a smooth recovery in running.

.Level :

  • Beginner: x 1 series
  • Intermediate: x 2 sets
  • Confirmed: x 3 sets

Recovery :

  • 10 to 15 sec between each exercise
  • 2 min between each series

Session :

20 lunges on each side + 20 sit ups + 30 sec cyclist + 15 dips + 1 min plank + 45 sec side plank (left and right) + 45 sec back plank


It is recommended that you do these exercises in sets of 10 and repeat two to three times. You can do them from home, without buying specific equipment. Put on a sports outfit, a pair of sneakers and let's go!
